As you know, we turned in our final changes to the graphics company so they can finalize our family profile. I'm not surprised that I don't have it back yet but I'm so darn impatient!
Our agency has a list of current situations that they need families for now - either because no active families currently match or the birth parents are wanting something more than what has been presented to them already. I cruise that info once a week because it comes out in an email on Fridays. One of the situations appears on first glance to be promising and something is drawing us to think about this situation a lot. I've seen it listed for a few weeks now.
On a whim, I checked the list again today, and it is still there. They requested that only families with current, completed homestudies contact them about the situations listed. We aren't active with the agency yet, so we know we would not have been presented to her yet. One of the weekly articles that answers questions from adoptive families convinced me to at least inquire about the situation. We have nothing to lose.
I emailed the coordinator and said that we had a homestudy and APQ on file as of February 5th. If any more information about the situation were available, we'd certainly like to find out more. I had a reply from the agency literally within 3 minutes! Our adoption specialist "S" had already told the coordinator about us. She said that we are waiting for our final profile to be completed and they could present us to her!! Wow - she's one step ahead of me!
So we will have to be patient and see how things pan out in the future. We are not getting our hopes up. If it is meant to be, it will happen as God planned. But please send back our completed profile already!!!
