A Story by Little Roo!

Hi! I have a story to tell about St. Patrick's day!

It started off like any other morning.
I woke up crying because I was hungry. So I had a bottle of milk. I got dressed in my new shamrock dress because it is St. Patrick's day!
Wait... let me get my new bib on because I happen to drool a lot. Ok, so here's the good part of the story.
Daddy was in the kitchen putting my bottles in my cooler bag for school.
Oh cute shoes!! I love my feet!
Oh right... my story! So then Daddy says "Can we put green food coloring in the bottles to make green milk today?"And I said "Green milk?? Yuck! Are you crazy?"
And Mommy said "Oh no, you better not touch those bottles if you know what's good for you!"I tried very hard not to laugh because Daddy was in trouble. So I pretended to be interested in something else.Oh is that my finger??? I wonder what that does? So Daddy packed up my things for school and we gave Mommy kisses good-bye!I laughed all the way to school! Silly Daddy!

4.5 Months Old!

I really have no commentary for the pictures... strange I know! The last one was a result of her new best friend coming over.... Biscuit! She is completely enamored with the dog recently.

Zoo Day!

First.... I have to post the little bug's newest Friday picture!

Saturday was a day at the zoo! We had a private tour - thanks to Katherine! We had such a good time finding all the animal babies! It was a little chilly but what a beautiful day!

Katherine and Meg waiting for some kangaroo love!

This is Rufus... and no, he is not dead, it's just tough being a Roo sometimes!

I'm sure these penguins think that all blue shirt people have food!

This little guy thought Meg was the bomb.... they are the same size!

Meerkat babies! I think the one the right was trying to stand on his head!

More meerkat families!

Naptime in our new Comfy Joey sling! And yes, that's my slinging husband (brown side out, purple in please)!

Tamani playing on the steps by the water!

Baby chimp Sasha!

No sooner had Katherine finished telling us about how these two rhinos peacefully co-exist when there was a show down at the watering hole!

They were pretty loud and one eventually gave up!

Thank you Katherine!!!

4 Month Stats!

Doctor's appointment this morning... despite a little cold and congestion, the little bug is healthy!

Weight: 14 pounds, 13 ounces
Length: 26 inches

So I did great at guessing..... on her weight I thought she was going to be over 15 pounds - she gets heavy! She has doubled from her birth weight! On her length, I was right on. She is 95% percentile on her length.... no wonder she can still wear her 0-3 clothes and they look perfectly normal as long as they aren't one piece! If it's a onesie, forget it because trying to snap it would take an eye out! All of her smaller size dresses and top/capris outfits still fit her great. She's still in size 1 shoes, so she's grown into her feet too!

And this is why I tell Bill that having a lot of clothes in all different sizes is an advantage. Now I just hope that she's in 6 month sizes for a long time because we have a lot of those - mostly dresses and 2 pieces so I think we are good!
